It does not as of yet appear possible to leave this place. Also, all phone calls are channeled through a central "operator", and act more like an intercom system than any sort of telephone line.

Apparently, we are in some pseudo-American town in a simulation of the 1950's. No one is quite sure why we are here or who brought us here.
The woman claiming to be your wife has been brainwashed to believe that she is your wife, and will treat you as her husband whether you want her to or not. There should also be photographs around the house that show you and your fake "family" as if you have always lived together.
[His voice has taken on the quality of someone rehashing facts of a kidnapping case, attempting to insure they themself have all the information correct.]
