Mayfield? Where's that? Is it near Sacramento?

It is somewhere in America but we don't know where. Just that we can not leave.

How are they keeping us here? Are we fenced in? Are there guards? Does anyone know why we're here?

Please calm down. That telephone won't call Natalie, or anyone else besides the other people in the town.

You can't.

We've all been kidnapped. You will have to adjust more quickly than that.

There's a woman here claiming she's my wife! How do I adjust to that?!

Ignore her. Kill her. Take her as your wife. Whichever option offends you the least.

I-I-I can't. Not with her claiming to be--she isn't--she's not--I would never--

[A calm British voice.]

It does not as of yet appear possible to leave this place. Also, all phone calls are channeled through a central "operator", and act more like an intercom system than any sort of telephone line.

[Too bad. Every night at 7 PM precisely he's going to try to call the outside world. The mun just isn't going to post all these calls due to lack of time to keep up with it!]

Where are we?! Who brought us here?! Why are we here?! How can that woman claim she's my wife?! That isn't possible! My wife is--[Because the mun isn't that evil he sounds like he's hyperventilating into a paper bag, conveniently provided by the drone wife he's freaking out about.]

[[Please tell this mun if he is even going to be a minute late with that. Because once Saguru here realizes that Mr. Monk is going to be on time with something every day, he might worry if the phone call is late...]]

Apparently, we are in some pseudo-American town in a simulation of the 1950's. No one is quite sure why we are here or who brought us here.

The woman claiming to be your wife has been brainwashed to believe that she is your wife, and will treat you as her husband whether you want her to or not. There should also be photographs around the house that show you and your fake "family" as if you have always lived together.

[His voice has taken on the quality of someone rehashing facts of a kidnapping case, attempting to insure they themself have all the information correct.]

[[No worries! Since Monk's life revolves around routine anything out of the ordinary will be cause for posting a public notice. And I'm plotting out a routine he's going to fall into eventually for everyone to reference if they need to.]]

I saw.. That's not--that couldn't be--Trudy and I never got around to having children before she-she-she--

[Deep breath.]

--I don't care what anyone says. I'm not going to treat this woman like she's my wife.
