It certainly doesn't. I might get distracted by the seconds making sounds while I played, then again, I play really loud.

Heh, I'm really glad I re-tuned the bass drum resonant head (The black one with TAMA printed on it) because it was all wrinkled. I have my first lesson on Thursday. I'm really excited!
