Well. Certainly it's been an interesting month, but today at least seemed peaceful. So, I'll take advantage of the rare quiet to mention that, at long last, my bookstore is ready to open!

So, bright and early during normal business hours, I will keep to that-- Monday morning, please do come down to Bilton and Scaggs and have a look! We've quite ( Read more... )

Indeed. Not to slight the City's marvellous library, but... sometimes you simply need to own a book, I think.

Ah, do you have experience working in a bookstore? I'll happily keep you in mind. I managed my old shop by myself, but we kept.. er.. rather shorter hours.

I will, thank you! And I may have to recommend a friend of mine to you, as well. The Library is lovely, but sometimes it can make it rather hard to find a book you're looking for; I assume your shop wouldn't have that problem.

Do you have any books that... ah, that have a rather ominous feel to them? Bound in worn leather, imposing metallic clamps keeping them shut, dire Latin warnings around the edges...?

Er. I don't believe we do... generally speaking I try to avoid that sort of thing, and if I ended up with one it'd be in the back.
