Victory Square as per usual was pretty awesome. More than a concert it's a social event that makes Vancouver pretty awesome. I mean yes it's nice to see all those bands for free, some of whom I probably wouldn't have been willing to pay money to see. So in our backyard right now there's a pear tree with pears ripening on it. Our landlord is out of town so I feel obligated to use at least some of them instead of letting them all fall to the ground and rot.

Does anyone have any good simple recipes for lots of pears?

With Alasdair off camping and Rob at PAX I have the house to myself. Kerrie took off so we're not even using Alasdair's room as a hotel tonight.
