I do have to wonder what it is that goes through peoples minds that compels them to purpose to a person before even living with that person. Or even spending alot of time with them. What is it with people having long distance relationships and being so enamored by it that they purpose

This isn't just about you, but more about 2 of my good friends from high school who are dating dudes they have spent no more than maybe a month with this past year. It just seems like everyone is approaching this age where it seems marriage is the answer without really considering finding out more about said person before jumping so deep into such a commitment.

Seems everyone is either preggers or getting married these days. Did I miss the trend??!

i thought we could be friendly since you and heather go way back, but i'm afraid that just isn't going to happen. between this post and your comment on my journal, it's clear that you have some unresolved feelings for her that you need to deal with and i'm not going to sit around taking passive aggressive bullshit until that happens.

Heh, not everything in my life revolves around you and heather, although, yes, i do feel as if between ya'll and my two best friends who are in somewhat similar situations, that maybe I missed the memo about people getting married to people before really knowing certin things about said person. What you do is your business. And congrats. I hope it works out.

but...
1.) I AM still in Salem, but planning on leaving in the morning for the bay (rideshare girl fell out at last minute!!)

2.) Just replaced the water pump yesterday on the mini van. Now we have to pretend it is a clutch vehicle, but are getting used to it. Can't wait to get back to Oakland, though!!

People always think it's about them if it even comes close :P
Anyways, I'm with you ... I don't get jumping into marriage. A friend of mine started taking to calling my gf my wife, and I was just like "what did you call her? She's not my wife!" Apparently being together for 3 years makes us automatically married? *shrugs*
If we wanted to be married, wouldn't I have at least proposed or something? lol :P

Oh, and I'm seriously not trying to be a douche or anything, but it is propose*, and not purpose*.
