It hasn't been long at all since my last post, so I will be brief.
First, I have discovered another wonderful show with another excellent OP.
I give you... Cromartie High School!

[WARNING]
Dear viewers sitting in front of the television:
The guys that appear in this anime are delinquents.
So please do not under any circumstances imitate what you see in this anime.
[Do not imitate! Or this will happen!]
The reason I’m crying is because of tremendous regret
Over people’s merits and kindness being trampled upon
Those who display their strength lose their resiliency
And the land is deceitful, muddy and troublesome
Let’s grow even stronger and become tough in our lives
Let’s walk forward as the wind blows against us
Move, move, move, if you’re feeling guilty then get out of the way
Shine a light on the degenerate city
Move, get out of the way, the truth is coming through
The age of justice will come, we have a song of hope too
My whole life should be dedicated to the world

If you can't tell from the OP, it's a show about high school delinquents. And gorillas. And robots. And Freddie Mercury from Queen. Mix them all together and you will either have something horrible or something brilliant. In this case, it seems to have turned out very well.
One of the nice things about the show is that each episode only lasts about 10 minutes, but they pack enough content to make you feel like it's been a more standard length.
The downside: if you speak English you're going to have to rely on either the dub or official subtitles. Why is it that the fansubbers ALWAYS do a better job than the paid employees? I tell you, the problem behind anime piracy is not on the front of the pirates. Furthermore, the DVD-rips out there have awful (read: no) typesetting. But even though you have to settle for "official" quality, it's still hilarious and completely worth it.
I may actually buy this set since the subs haven't been too bad. It's pretty cheap if you get it used.
Also, to those who care about anime, Best Buy will be liquidating its stock in March. Yes, Sunday. Supposedly, about half of the stores are going to be offering 50% sales on it. The problem is that it's still not known exactly which stores will be selling them (a preliminary list was available a short while ago but is not finalized as of yet). After this, a few stores will continue to carry a large stock but most of it will be moved to their online store.
Normally I would add the typical rant against capitalism here, but the industry is hurting a lot and I know I'm going to buy most of it eventually anyway... might as well make I sure that I'm not just paying for another Chinese bootleg. But I'll still be buying most of my stuff online.
Anyway. Keep watching the internet for a finalized list, and if there's any series that you have been considering buying recently, March would be a good time.
