So in celebration of my unemployment, I decided to get a new game for our PlayStation 2. I really enjoy the micromanagement-types of games -- games where the player controls all aspects of a certain subject matter (like managing a city or running a theme park or achieving global conquest). Advice - don't get an XBox, and don't, under any circumstance, buy Knights of the Old Republic... and since you do have a PS2, don't buy Hitman2... These games are both too freaking good... they're dangerous.

I am happy to say that the power of The Sims will not pull me away from the BBBQ. I do have to keep my own Social Interaction status bar up, for cryin' out loud.

I tried playing video games with friends, but ice wind dale, pool of radiance or baldurs gate have no pull on my psyche, i didn't even like it. I can't even get addicted to cigarettes and god knows i've tried.
what is my problem? Why can't i FIT IN !

The Sims is complete crack. I go in and out of obsession with it. For a while it was really bad -- I just didn't do anything else.

The worst was when I got the Sims for my Gameboy. I could Sim ANYWHERE. Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!

Addictive eh? Probably almost as bad as LJ. Yeah that's why I don't get involved with games. I don't need yet another thing to be addicted to. :D
