what kind of pens do you use? How does it get that awesome blue color?

In the olden days of photocopy they used non-repro blue, now col-erase blue is standard for this stuff. It lets you rough sketch then go over it with tight graphite cleanup (didn't here), then you can make blue invisible if you want with photoshop.
