Helping out a student to follow his dream

I'm working summer school at the high school, and there is a student in my class who is an aspiring comic/graphic novel artist. His main character reminds me of Kenshin with really baggy clothing. The student/artist has aspirations of making his own manga series, and wants to go to school at the Academy of Art University

Tell him to feel free to come by SacAnime. We'll be happy to check out his work. Pretty much what you recommended to him in regards to conventions is the best way to go, given that he is getting personal feedback from various artists as well.
