Thank you for taking the time to express your opinion on the matter. It's a touchy subject for most, so kudos to you for speaking freely. I've yet to respond to any of the comments on the post itself (and I'm not sure I'm going to), but I wanted to thank you for this:
The mind is a useful tool that helps us discriminate and navigate in our world, but would you want to overuse any other tool like we overuse our minds? A hammer is a useful tool but if you cannot stop hammering, even when you try, then it is no longer useful, but completely destructive. Our minds are like a hammer that cannot stop hammering.
Too true. :-) It's something I need to remember as my braingerbil can hammer its own home apart over issues like this.
