I'm in desperate need of a good movie to watch. Not a comedy or action, though... something more sedated. Like a "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" or "What Dreams May Come"... something like that. Not necessarily depressed... but... metacognitive, maybe. Everything gracing the marquees of the local cinemas has been less than attractive

If you liked Catcher in the Rye at all, get Igby Goes Down. It's loosely based on it, and it's a good flick. Also, there's my personal favorite standby that I'm sure you've seen a million times, Donnie Darko. Regardless of how many times I watch that movie, I always enjoy seeing it again.
