Even though I wouldn't care if only 3 people on the planet watched my vids...I'll admit it, Im a sucker for stats. Probably the gamer/nerd in me coming out.

I liked what the now defunct Stage 6 did with viewing stats but it seems YT have really taken that sort of thing to 7 levels above and beyond what DivX did. But when I accidentally clicked on ( Read more... )

Are they? That IS cool! Though I am concerned about a particular stat of mine - "Back to the Start" is most popular with girls aged 13-17, but right behind them is Males aged 35-44.

I know I'm in that age group and I made the thing, but really?

Ahaha, I heart that! :D If you flip the 57 and the 43, you have my gender distribution. I have some ridiculously pointless desire to up the number of male viewers, though that ain't going to happen soon, looking at my current projects... My highest age group is 45-54 though... and that's DESPITE all the hits for 13 year old Japanese chicks for my Nodame vid... I don't know what is going on there. My own age group comes fourth... weird?

Oh THANK GOD I am not the only one geeking out over YouTube's 'Insight' feature! I LOVE IT SO MUCH OMG. I may not get many hits but I sure as hell like analysing them. :D :D :D I have composed a post about this feature that many times in my head ( ... )

The stats are great aren't they? When did you first notice it?

Oh yeah the floods, sounds like I might have dodged a bullet there. I did come down with a miserable wog & have been on anti-biotics since Tuesday last week so I would have been a real misery guts if I'd some how managed to attend anyway. Still getting over it & gotta fly up to the hometown again next week to do more junk removal from the father-in-laws house!

Glad Revise was fun though, maybe next year people will be more aware & it will draw a bigger crowd and there can be a section/day that resembles something like Vividcon. Look forward to reading your write up!

A couple of months ago, maybe?

Yeah, sometimes things are just not meant to be... for me, Wollongong was a brief idyllic break from hayfever... I knew I was back in Melbourne when I started sneezing again. I'm so sick of it! Hope you get over your bug soon!

Yeah, I think it's possible it could grow! And I'm also getting a crash course in organising stuff with Vidukon, so although I fell on my face with it this year, there's definitely a chance I'll be more able to organise something myself next year.
