my hubby's friend lcpl spears was shot in the head a few days ago. in front of the marines he was trying to tell to stay down to keep away from the snipers.

it's very sad how things like this... nobody will even know about. yet if he was shot on US soil... it would be wide spread.

i'm sorry to hear about the loss. it always seems to be the best people who get the short end of the stick. the vigil went great! many waves and honks. this vigil was about morning the loss and publicizing how many americans (and Iraqi) live have been lost. where is the media coverage of this??? why are we so ignorant? in america, it seems we can't see the reality and harsh truth about a lot of things.
i hope you can tell your hubby that the turnout was AMAZING. just at the vigil we went to, over 150 people showed up. it was really powerful and very touching.
