I wish I could do more without a car, but living out in the 'burbs makes it impossible. However, I am a maniac about turning off lights in the house and only having on what light I need in the room that I am in.

One of the things that's killing me about Missoula is just how tricky it is to recycle here! You have to haul it yourself OR pay $10+ a month to have it picked up curb-side though it has to be said, there's nothing like the recycle-bins provided in other towns I've lived in nor is it part of the trash pick-up, it's just a pain in the butt! As we do recycle and often and with me and the two little ones who try to re-use and recycle everything we can, but where in Vegas we had three each of the little recycle bins provided there, and filled them ALL for the every-two-week pick-up, here it's once a MONTH and they're expecting to only have to pick up a small paper bag of each paper & aluminum and they won't even pick up glass?! Meep! Well, neighbors and I are working on ways to work it out to share the cost and get it all done together as a group, even if we have to have a few of us ( ... )
