Ouch
Well, I have worked my fingers, and back and knees to the bone. The quilt is all put together, pinned to the backing and fill and all ready to begin the part I love the best...hand quilting!
But first some sustenance! -
Back to quilting
I haven't done any quilting for some time, but am glad to be back doing it. Cut out my squares, triangles yesterday and last night put some together. I can get the squares done today. It is a small quilt after all. I considered machine quilting, but have never liked how it looked. So decided to do it by hand. I love the hand stitching look. ( Read more... ) -
Gumbo
Yum! Made it yesterday, and the only one who wanted to eat it was me. That's okay...they don't like onions, peppers etc. I don't know how anyone can cook without it!!
On the knitting front...came to an area on pumpkin socks where I didn't understand the directions. Now it's sorted out.....I hope. We will see if I am screaming later :-) -
A Knitting storm
Continuing the adventure. This sweater has three patterns and I just love it... a faux rib, garter and cables. It has turned out to be not as difficult as I thought, and downright relaxing and invigorating. Though how such a thing could be I don't know...nonetheless it is both.
