I've actually tried to avoid knowing much about Twilight so far. I find some of the comments I see about it amusing, but I fear knowing too much about it, because every time I learn something about it, I feel physical pain ( Read more... )

you know...I'm really out of touch. I had no idea about the movie - or the books... until the past week.

Doesn't seem to appeal to me - too much Buffy style rip off from what I've read about it in the past week.

Apparently Vampires cant go in the sun in this because they sparkle or some shit.

Nowhere near as bad as spontaneous combustion, and with a handful of glitter anyone can pretend to be a vampire.

I was just reading about this movie, and I felt bad for the director, because apparently Stephenie Meyer got her idea when she dreamed this scene of the stupid girl and the stupid vampire lying in a forest or some crap, and his skin was sparkling in the sun. And the director wanted to take that scene out but she couldn't because Meyer liked it so much.

I think Meyer's kind of a tard.

Vampires sparkling in sunlight? How dumb is that?

It could be the most awesome story in the world with the greatest characters and it would still suck because of the sparkly vampires

I was going to skip this post because it mentioned Twilight and I try to avoid it like the plague.
However I found the post and comments educational since I knew nothing about it other than I didn't like it.

Also; Does the idea of a teen Vampire romance seem a bit Mary-Sue?

The "protagonist" is Mary Sue incarnate. When she becomes a vampire she's the MOST BEAUTIFUL SPARKLIEST BEST SPARKLEPIRE EVER.
