OK, so Lucille Ball is a navy widow who wants to go somewhere that won't remind her of her dead husband.

So she moves to...a naval base.

Also, it's hilarious how un-Henry Fonda-like the theme song is.

I used to love that movie when I was a kid! :D Only topped by Cheaper by the Dozen (the original), and the Bad Seed. All of which have combined in my head and now I'll never have children :P

Does she seriously say she wants to get away from reminders of her husband? Coz that move is just retarded then! It's like moving to the Bahamas to get away from a killer shark ;)

Or is it supposed to be telling us that she doesnt' really know what she wants, and is subconsciously still in love with her dead husband?

Can I be impressed that you fit a Michael Caine/JAWS 4 reference in there? :D

If I can be impressed you knew what I was talking about? :)

It would be more impressive if she knew you were making a Richard Jeni reference.

Perhaps the navy pension works out better if she lives on a base, but she's moving to a different base, one she'd never been to with her husband?

Maybe. She says she's a Navy Widow, making it sound sort of like once you marry into the navy, you're NEVER ALLOWED OUT!
