I'm so sorry to hear that! That really sucks. I wish there was something I could say or do to help. Just hang in there. A quote that kind of helped me when Brett and I broke up was "Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened." I don't know if that will help at all...
Sorry I wasn't on to talk to you last night and that this can't be any longer than it is. I've been "uber-busy" this week working all day every day and trying to have a life after work too. This weekend won't be any better either, but I wanted to at least let you know I read your journal and I'm here for ya if you need to talk or anything.
In the meantime, I gotta go to work (for the 6th day in a row....I wish my employees would hurry up and get out of school!). I'll talk to ya later. ~Sarah

P.S.-I meant to tell you that aside from the whole fact of what provoked your poem, it was really good...poetically speaking.....yeah....so gimme a call if you need to talk. Later. ~Sarah
I won't pretend to have some tidbit of mystically enlightened advice for this one, but if you want to talk, call/e-mail/IM. I'm going to be out with the family tonight, and I'm afraid there's nothing I can do to cancel that, but I should be in tomorrow.
I know you do not want to here it but its true and let us leave it at that. I thought that you two would be together for a long time but do not beat yourself up over it. It is hard breaking up with someone that you love a lot but do not let it change you. I know nothing that anyone or I could really say would make it go away but you have many people who are here for you so lean on them let them support you. I will keep you in my prayers and if you ask Andy I used a few choice words when I heard. I am sorry; I hope you are doing well.
Paul, I am not going to tell you you are not a dork, because you are. So am I, so are all of our friends. It is who we are, and there is no use denying it. In case you haven't checked out my journal lately, Colleen broke up with me. I was talking to a friend of mine down here about breaking up, and he reminded me that its not the love of another human, but the love of God we should care about most. If you love God, He will take care of everything else. Also, my cousin gave me the advice that maybe I need to find a new type of girl. I don't know if any of this helps, but I'll be home tommorrow, and we can talk then if you want to. Love, Rusty
I probably shouldn't bother writing this because your friends I imagine are as unhappy with me as you are, but I feel like I owe you something and I have to tell you this. The inherant problem with dating someone you are good friends with first is that often the relationship takes turns that just don't quite...fit. I took the chance anyway, because you are everything that every other guy I've ever dated was not, and I thought maybe I should start going for a different kind of guy. I thought it would make both of us happy. I was wrong. The consequences now are that I've deeply hurt someone I care about and I've lost more than one friend. You can't tell me that I don't know how you feel. You can't claim that you are alone in your pain, because you're not. I told you the things that other guys have done to me and you know that whatever you're going through, I've been there too. When I read the poem I started to cry, because I've written poetry like that before, too. I have a journal that has nothing but dark and painful poems in it. I
