Out of the current orgs. addressing Katrina, is there any 1 org that you would recommend contributing to? I was just going to follow links through Craig's List and donate to an org. that uses most of their donations towards actual relief/charity effort and not overhead. I wasn't sure about FEMA or the Red Cross.

So -- hypothetically speaking if I wanted to buy a house -- where would I start? I have NO idea what things like mortages and equity and capital gains mean. If I wanted to invest in real estate, what sources are good places to start? I don't want to waste time studying a book and then realizing it's no longer current or just bad advice. Thanks
