Edge room colour thing or edge thing room colour, in the ss surface thing, which is the colour of a surface thing, or the colour of an edge thing.

This would be all nice if it was a metaphorical explanation for the system.

What you're failing to take into account is the fact that if that is their database... How the fuck do you think all of their other business processes work? :P
