Still alive- working and schooling alot. (See how I did that? First I turned a transitive verb into an intransitive one, and then I turned it into a noun.)
I don't have good internet in my apartment, just slowish dial-up. Ultimately, this is a good thing. If I need internet, there are no lack of options, for now, I will explore a less instant way of gaining and sharing information. Ugh.
I got a mild form of "mohawk" haircut. It started as part of a halloween costume. (What's deader then Punk?) but I kind of like it, so it stays for now. I don't like calling it mohawk, though. This has nothing to do with the Mohawks, and my professional life has started to give me a deep distrust of squishy European guys milking American Indian cultures just because they have a cool asthetic. There's nothing wrong with borrowing from another culture, but God, creativity, anyone? I vaguely remember reading about 1st century chariot fanatics wearing their hair this way. Is there any backup to this anecdote? I'm sure it's out easy enough to find, but, you know, dial-up.
I'm trying to figure out good recipes for cooking in a kitchen that has no real oven. It does have:
- Small microwave
- Toaster-oven
- Portable convection oven (I think Popeil used to sell these, but mine's not a Ronco)
- Portable range
- Electric Skillet
- Electric tea-kettle
- Crock-pot
Oh well.
