As for those who have purportedly gone through journalism school, I once spent ten minutes trying to figure out one paragraph in a local paper. The message was lost through garbled prose. I gave up in the end.
Oh, and I know what that plant is now. I have one growing as a small tree in my living room. It is currently in flower.

Was just discussing with my next door neighbour how very lucky we are in the UK to have such *bland* weather. ;)

It took about twelve hours for the thing to pass by us. We got a moderate soaking, but nothing extraordinary. Twelve hours after it stopping raining, I was hooning around in the boonies. Just a bit of tree litter here and there. Barely enough to slow me down.

OTOH, have also seen the YouTube vid of submerged lorries being driven through the flood (possibly National Guard) until they appear to conk out and drift to a stop. Given that neither of them appears to have air intake or exhaust snorkels I have to wonder what they were thinking. *facepalm*
