...I laughed for about five seconds. Then I read on and discovered this is not, actually, a joke.

People are mad. For buying into this shit, for actually putting up websites for it. The one thing that I miss about the time of no internet --not that I remember it well, but anyway-- is that back then, people went "what am I thinking, I must be a headcase!". Now, they go online and find that "hey, there's others like me. Apparently, I'm not a whacko after all." People are completely, utterly mad.

Also, this might be my admittedly corrupted mind, but this looks like a one-way BDSM for the Christian beginner's manual. I'm not sure whether that's mad or just plain hysterical. Where do you come up with these pages?

I'm "airquoting" the hell out of this, sorry... mrdarcy_bunny May 16 2007, 20:42:43 UTC
I thought the page was a joke, too. Until I saw the shop. And the many, many links.

What probably irks me most is that while the husband gets "the right" to "discipline" his wife, she doesn't have the same "right". Yet, it's "consensual" - but can it actually claim to be consensual when it is part of the woman's duty to do what her husband tells her to? I don't quite get that. The way I understand it, the submissive part in a BDSM-relationship "has the power", as it were. Namely, saying "Stop" - or generally giving their okay.
This website is just an excuse for men to get to hit their wives. And making it "acceptable" by claiming it's the way God intended us to live.

I could go on forever. Christ. I haven't even looked at the "anti-feminist" link which scares the hell out of me.

Anyway. I found the site through stupid_free, where it was mocked a few days ago.
