I'm definitely happy right now! This morning I went to university to check the result of my English exam and...

Surprise surprise, guess who did get a big fat A+????

Yes girls, ME!!! I couldn't believe it, a lot of students failed this exam and I managed to pass it with a great mark...

I'm positively gloating.

Yay for the A! As for Atonement, I really liked it a lot, (best book I've read since the Time Traveler's Wife) and I thought the movie did a really good job too.

For what concerns Atonement,I hoped it was good
because I've heard a lot about it but I don't trust journalists until I've read or watched it myself...

I'll just have to wait until I've finished the exams.

And yes Atonement is an excellent read - though in saying that I'm still in the middle of reading it myself. I have about 5 books on the go at the moment.

Congrats!! quite jealous... I finish exams on tues, so i am quite jealous that you have results already...

I read atonement both before and after the movie, and enjoyed it much more the second time...

It's one of those novels that you read for intellectual gain/exercise as well as entertainment, if you get what I mean, it's pretty intense. Still, great novel and worth the wait.

Don't worry for your results,they'll be published sooner or later, just don't think about it too much or you'll feel worse.

Anyway I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

As for Atonement, I definitely want to read it, after all the enthusiastic recs about it...
