first off, it's "jiggawatts". secondly, it's very important to keep hard liquor on site. you can always disguise it as a soft drink, or just keep it on a shelf behind some manuals. ultimately, however, i understand perfectly. my job is surprisingly similar in most respects. my presence is only noticed and acknowledged when something goes wrong and once i'm noticed, no explanation or excuse will suffice. big wigs tend to think in terms of "do the impossible or commit ritual suicide as recompense." all suggestions lying within the endless ocean in between are completely ignored.
