It's12:42 am and I'm up enjoying the quiet as my sister and kids have gone to bed. Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post. It's nice to feel supported. My condolences for your loss, AJ.

I'm sorry I missed your other post or I would have commented earlier. We all have different types of reactions that express our grief. I know I witnessed versions of grief around me that surprised me, at times unnerve me, especially my brother's.

I wish both you and your sister peach and strength during this time.

god, aj - I was so wrapped up in my own petty shit I didn't even know this was going on.
I hope you get whatever it is you might need at this time, mister. Even if its just to grieve the loss of the father you always wished you had...
love and support,
Hank

You know I understand about people expecting certain emotions. Also, concrete things like cooking dinner and doing errands can be a very healthy way of dealing with whatever emotions you do have. Having tasks to get done helped me get through the brunt of the difficulties of the first week. You and your sister are lucky to have each other.

My thoughts are with all of you AJ. Death is hard to deal with, period.

So sorry AJ. Being with with your sister, helping with the kids -- that's exactly where you need to be. Grieve the way that makes sense for you.
Hugs,
Ryn
