Well, it looks like the roommate situation that I mentioned in the last post is gonna fall through.

I don't know why I get my hopes up when past experience dictates that it is always unwise to do so. *Sigh.* Silly me. Sometimes I forget that god is a clown.

At least tomorrow is Friday.

How are you searching for people?

If you aren't already, try Craigslist and the Marketplace on Facebook. You will get the occasional morons who can't look at a map and think you're right on top of DC, or the people want you to be sitting on top of Metro (although you are right by the transit center at least), but otherwise, a ton of people use both of those.

I'll give those a try. I've been looking on Roommates.com.

These folks seemed like a good possibility, then all of a sudden they dropped off the face of the earth.

That really sucks. Definitely a good idea to just queue people up, so that if one bails, you can hit up the next one.

As a note, it won't work as well as in the city, but if you take a few hours on a weekend to have an open house and post it on Craigslist, you'll see a bunch of people at once.
