Appraiser came over this morning to take a look; nothing's official but he's pretty sure it'll come in well over what we need for the good refinance rate. Have all of these "realistic outlook" moments had to do with the value of your home? Because many people today are FATHEADS about that.

But, you know, go pragmatism!

Can I be part of a small group someday? We could rehash our cooking lesson nights. I just bought a copy of the Joy of Cooking. Some of that stuff looks fun. This weekend I may even try one of the coffee cake recipes. First I have to buy a springform pan. What is this thing and where can I get one?

No, the other big category is the temperament of my theoretical future children. I suppose people are often unrealistic about that too.

We should totally cook again; maybe in a couple weekends? We've got V-Day stuff this one and we're going up to Vancouver the next one. A springform pan is one of the ones where the sides detach from the bottom. You can buy expensive ones downtown at Sur Le Table and inexpensive ones at restaurant supply stores like Dick's. The QFC on Broadway might have them.
