The subject says it all. I just got back from this fantastic and unexpected film, and already want to see it again. Next time I'll be on the look out for more of the red rubies.

A movie came out in 2009 to somewhat limited distribution called Valhalla Rising. I didn't hear about it then, but it's on Netflix streaming and... wow. Ahead of it's time is the only explanation I have for the ratings this thing gets... that, or watchers came out disappointed after seeing the trailer and expecting a gory action movie ( Read more... )

It's a funny feeling to see old friends like that, doing really well. Life doesn't always suck.

Looked up the ex on another site, saw she had a bunch of public pictures posted, went through them a bit and sent her a nice note. Now her whole profile is private.

Heh. Life really sucks.

Israeli TV is reporting at least 15 dead in the commando raid on the humanitarian aid flotilla bound for Gaza in defiance of the Israeli blockade... sigh.

Also just watched "The Road", a post-apocalyptic survival drama film that received very limited press and distribution, based on the Pulitzer winning Cormac McCarthy book. Wow. Talk about your depressing films. But, do I feel spiritually enriched? Very definitely ( Read more... )

OK so, I don't know why critics are hating on Robin Hood so much. I thought it was a perfectly good movie, immersively executed with a great cast, not all of whom got enough screen time, and a fantastic but very believable plot.
