How are we supposed to implement "reforms' without change!

The key here is the phrase "without change". So if there is to be no change then you do nothing, right? But that is hardly a reform is it? So basically what you need to do is devise a way of getting the exactly the same results as you are getting now, but by doing something completely different. Change the process, not the outcome.

Easy!

Dear Mr G,

Judging by the visible closing tags after user names here, it would appear that you may be 'bolding' user names - is that correct?

Because you don't need to (it's automatic) :)

Thats nothing.

Last night ville_lady was trying to read philosophish's journal. I say trying because it had spread itself across two lengths of the monitor.

It was then I noticed a "" command at the end of a paragraph.

I think our mate philosophish was trying something tricky that didnt actually work!

end of line

Reforms without change? Isn't that the nature of the public service m'dear? ;)

DON'T talk to me about computers ... grrrrr... yes, yes, the research is worth it!!

At least we are finally getting broadband ...not long now! YAY

Surveillance?!?! I saw a piece on 'Sunrise' this morning... they now have personal GPS map thingos that you can carry in your pocket (like those ones in new cars) that will tell you when to turn left or right, and presumably one day will tell you to watch out for the bus coming towards you, while you're out walking. These wonders will know EXACTLY where you are at ALL times ... cooooooool .... not.

I saw that piece on Sunrise also and thought how that tech could combine with the ID card to give the powers that be the ultimate in servelance of each and every one of us ......can see little johnny putting half the telstra money into researching such a thing.

The dingbats who host that show seemed pretty excited about it ....i hate them all but still end up watching most mornings..... its better then the conservative speel on nine and i don't get me started on the problems with the state of morning cartoons these days.

The redfaced_duck has much to say about survellance but no time at the moment my friend...... just popped in for a quick squizz today.

The answer to how all this data can be annalysed can be found in the writings of the prophet William Gibson i am sure.

As for my antique machine ......i agree with what you say, it is definatly a gremlin in there someplace , i just can't find the fukker so blame the machine its in.
