Don't you think it's strange that in Episode One the Jedi claim that Anakin Skywalker has a high mediclurine count in his body but Darth Vadar is more machine than man? If he did in fact have a high mediclurine count then that was lost when he lost so much of his body and became the cyborg Vadar. Am I right? Discuss.

1) Before I pass final judgment on the implications of midichlorions, I want to see how they're dealt with in the final movie.
2) My impression is that Force-proficiency as it relates to midichlorions (keeping in mind that it's not strictly a scientific phenomenon...there is a spiritual side as well) is more about concentration or density than raw quantity. Thus, the organic matter that Vader has left is still just as saturated with midichlorions as it was before even though there's less of that organic matter. It can also be observed that his brain - probably the most important piece of organic matter - is still intact as far as I know (again...movie pending).

Hmm interesting. I'm also looking forward to how it's dealt with in the new movie.
