Woo! Bored waiting for basketball time again. Last game of the season (no finals for us this time around) and I should be looking forward to it, because normally we'd wander over to the pub after the game and have a few beers. Unfortunately we've been asked to do the scoring for the next game, which we weren't supposed to have to do, and I also ( Read more... )

He's probably nervous about the wedding in general. I never dug the formality either, so I was glad that Sed was up for a small secular ceremony followed by a massive reception with tons of food and a band and little to no structure. If you can get the woman to chill out and have fun, to realize that she doesn't have to fluff up her peacock feathers and show off, that's the best way.

Next July I'm up for my first term as a groomsman as well. Go figure. I don't know yet if I'm the best man, but I suspect not, even though I've known the dude the longest. But then the only way he was in my wedding was doing a reading at the ceremony. (I only had a best man myself.)

Yeah, christ knows what's going through the poor boys head. He's been intending on asking her for almost a year but I think he finally folded under pressure from her parents - they're kinda the upperish class and may want a big deal. Girl is also pretty much a stunner, so there may be a fair bit of showing off of the tail feathers, as it were.

I figure the job of groomsman/best man is pretty easy though. Organise the bucks night. Make sure they both have fun, and don't get so drunk they can't remember the good bits. Oh, and embarass the hell out of both of them in a speach... I reckon I can handle that shit
