OK FAGS! Here’s your bright Obama Day!

Dec 18, 2008 08:27

For those gay who bitched at me relentlessly for supporting Hillary Clinton during the primaries, or yelled at me when I bitched about Biden's comment on gay marriage during the VP debate. I have say….. SUCK IT! I told you so! To quote dogpound : “I really thought Obama would have waited until at least the end of January before he threw us under the bus” ( Read more... )

Oh you're just trying to stir the pot. You knew Obama was never going to follow your agenda... he has a few more things to worry about than just gay rights.

Is it a choice I would have made? Hell, no. But then nobody would vote for me for president. And the annoying guy is giving a speech, it's not like he's being given a cabinet post.

Yeah, it's not as though gay rights hold any kind of personal resonance for anyone.

Oh dear. No, I'm a big fan of gay rights, but I wouldn't expect our President-elect to exclude anyone who didn't support them from his inauguration. I'd be very shocked if any reference to gays made an appearance in his address.

I am surprised by none of this. Disappointed, yes, but not surprised. It's like Peta and I were talking about a lot pre-election: I don't care how good anyone seems, I am automatically suspect and distrustful of anyone who wants to be president, for a variety of reasons. Treating gays like crap is just one of them.

Not surprised at all: co-optation has been Obama's central strategy all along. He's throwing everyone a bone in the hopes that he'll come off as above-all-that ( ... )

I can always depend on you to be more wacked out politically than me!

But why are the homos’s taking this?

Rick Warren preaches that homosexuals are the same as pedophiles, and people that practice incest & bestiality. Do you think if he was a preaching Anti-Semitism he would be swearing Obama in? So why are fags making excuses for him?

They explained part of their reason very nicely here in your lj: they're tired of the fear, frustration and despair. So they want to believe he's really different and ignore evidence to the contrary. Liberals who are stuck in the electoral good cop-bad cop game were so miserable under Bush that they'd have voted for Ronald Reagan's ghost if it said something bad about the Iraq occupation ( ... )
