It may be postural hypotension. That is, when you go from a lower-blood-pressure position like lying down to a higher-blood-pressure position like standing up, your blood pressure doesn't change fast enough to keep up, so you wind up feeling light-headed for a bit until your blood pressure comes up to whatever normal is for that position.
I had this, and I manage it by adding a bit more salt to my diet. This was on the recommendation of the diagnosing physician, BTW.
