Things Not to Put in Your Body: McDonald’s Baked Apple Pie Shake

Feb 27, 2010 06:15

So, it’s the middle of the day and you find yourself sitting alone in your car outside McDonald’s, having just ordered and eaten everything with a picture on the drive-through menu in a misguided attempt to cope with the emptiness and unfulfillment that accompanies the end of the Holidays. What’s next after reaching this low point in your day? Why ( Read more... )

Sir, you are ridiculous. Cute and funny, but ridiculous.

That being said, THE SHAMROCK SHAKE IS BACK?!? This is almost as good as the McRib being back.

I'll bet there are a select few McDonald's out there currently serving both - providing customers the experience of enjoying their McRibs smothered in "Shamrock Sauce."

Oh, goodness. That is a wager I dearly hope to lose.

Ha, even as a kid I hated the Shamrock Shake. I considered a major let-down and couldn't even finish it.

Love this review and the one of the hideous sugar cookie pie from a while back.

I tried a Shamrock Shake again last week, because I am a glutton for punishment (also just a glutton). It was both tepid and unmixed, with a layer of bright green mint syrup floating on the top. I was actually a little impressed at how badly they managed to make that drink.

Or maybe it was the result of an industry-wide low standard of quality for fast food frozen beverages. Maybe I should simply be thankful they didn't intentionally stir soggy napkins into it or poke holes in the cup.

Really? Because I thought it was "You're soooo cute. Are you single/looking?" Judging from your other pie-related post.

Well would you look at this, I'm back in the comments again. I wonder what this says about my social skills.

Amusingly, you posted this on my birthday! Good job, now all you have to do is tell me you love video games as well as dinosaurs and awesome music. Then I'll be convinced that you're a figment of my imagination, Miss MJH!

I guess I fall a bit short of figment, having never graduated beyond the Super Mario 64 level of gaming.

Happy belated birthday, former Internet stranger. Had you mentioned this on the 27th, I’d have sent an only-slightly-less-impersonal birthday wish. But here’s hoping it was a day full of sandwiches and video games anyway.

I like it when you post about food. I'm pretty sure I told you that on twitter too. I think you should post about McDonalds fruit smoothies or something from Taco Bell next!
