I was all set to wait for hours in line to fulfill my right, privilege, and duty as a citizen.  But instead I just walked into the polling office, flashed my ID, and voted.  In all it took less than five minutes (same as four years ago).  Thank you once again, media hype, for not being relevant in my real life.

It was my little sister’s birthday and her sleepover party meant a house full of tweens.  One of them spent several minutes following me around loudly eating a nectarine.
