Ok, I guess this is the first HUGE downfall of MS. I am tired, I dont mean sleepy I mean so damned tired that I sleep for a long period of time and wake up and feel like I have not slept for days. Soooooo Solumedrol is in my TOMMROW future for the next 5 days. I dont know anything about this (Help Jester) I don't know what to expect. Oddly enough ( Read more... )

Steroid tips

Don't eat White Castle!! Your flatulence WILL be classifies as a WMD
I found drinking plenty of water (plain water) will offset the massivve desire to eat.
Be ready to rest. both good for the exacerbation, and wekll, the steroids will make you edgy/sick occasionally
Take the rest time. It's generally good for you, and a wonderful excuse to catch up on General Hospital

Don't panic. It's not as bad as it sounds. Yeah, it makes some feel sick. And if it really keeps smacking you down, ask your neuro about Provigil.

I was given provigil from day one and it dosent really help me at all.

I used to be really high energy before MS I used to work as many as 3 jobs. Now I barely have the energy for 1. It sux so bad.

Do you get `roid treatments at home or in hospital? I am still at the point that I am not sure when to call the neuro or when to consider going to the hospital. What situations do you cann your neuro for or at what point do you finally just goto the Hospital? I am unsure and am just looking for an example.

Further if I ever catch myself watching general hospital I pray that my colon implodes.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions and help. You are a good man and for that you have my respect.

Hmmmm...Well, MS CAN nail your energy levels, sad fact.

The first steroid treatment was a hospital visit, as they were doing the whole Figuring out what was wrong with me' thing.

The second time, I was in a oral as it wasn't a BAD flare up.

Good call on General Hospital. See, you passed the test. MS has NOT stolen your brain.

Dude.. no worries. We're all on this team.
