Sounds good! -- although the downside of rapid charge is that if you accidentally discharge one across your fingers, it'll probably kill you instantly in a rather spectacular and possibly explosive way.

(Although I guess that didn't put people off petrol tanks…)

Petrol tanks are actually pretty unlikely to explode and kill you, or otherwise injure you. Unless you're in a Hollywood movie, in which case that stuff is deadly!

I imagine designing the recharger so it's impossible to fry yourself should be a lot easier than commercialising the technology.
