yeah we got bored....
Aaah Edinburgh update, whilst I'm still here. Plus Lara is going to be writing too, in the SAME entry because a) it was her idea anyway, and b) that is wicked-cool. Although it's just me at the laptop right now, so, Yeah, starting this by myself.
I've really enjoyed my stay here, everything's been really good. I'm very glad I came!
Ahh I'm being ordered to continue writing.. And AGAIN! Apparantly I'm not allowed to rub my eyes :(
Anyway, so let's recall the train journey on Saturay morning since Lara can't really say anythig about that. Got up, ate a piecee of toast....... or not. Well I did get up, that part's true. I had some porridge I think.. but yeah, when i woke up, I thought it was like, 11am or something and I had totally missed the train (leaving at 10:10). But no, it was 6. OMG i cannot write with this keyboard, and i am ramblig.
So basically - train journey = ok, even though i stressed a little bit when the changing part went slightly wrong. Other than that, it was kewl, and the weather got worse and worse as I got further north.

pats writing about boring stuff! argh, and its stuff i cant talk about. hmph. and now he is giggling like a small girl and trying to tickle me without succeeding. honestly.
BLAH yourSELF. Lies, but anyway I'll skip to the first day. omg neither of us can remember what happened on the first day!It was obviosuly really memorable. Well we didnt do much cos it was already evening but we went shopping and ate lots and pat met all my flatmates and honorary flatmates and were supposed to be going to the student union but the bouncer decided he hated pat (even though i pleaded with him) and so instead we rented the new HP movie and loved it (also the blockbuster man loves me)
Well, most of that was true except for Lara thinking that she was getting some special treatment at Blockbuster, JUST because the guy gave her another movie free... which was a SPECIAL OFFER and not because he was being nice to her. Haha she is so naive. (Hmm Lara is plying on my PSP now. She's becomig addicted to Wipeout. But slowly getting better!) But yeah, Saturday was a get-to-know people kind of day. I think I got to know all her peoples really quickly
actually i managed to beat the first level and just now i came 4th in my first time ever race, so ner ner ner
Err yeah (not first though, like me), well ANYWAY, back to reality - We bought lots of food n'stuff and hung out etc, met people.. then we were gonna go to the student union place but I left my wallet in Lara's room and the bouncer wouldn't let me in EVEN THOUGH you can sign in people as guests! What the hell... So Lara, Sam and I walked back & rented movies (latest Harry Potter movie - surprise!! and Flight Plan with sean bean instead).
Haha Lara is so funny, I can hear her behind me going "ahhh mines...Ahhh bomb!"
yes well i am trying to perfect my skill. It must be boring if you win first time.Pat is laughing at me cos I Cant spell. yeah so on sunday we did nice touristy things like gallerying it up and stuff on princes street. Actually. what else did we do? Oh we went to the Elephant House where....JK ROWLING WROTE HARRY POTTER (explode), I also persuaded Pat to buy his FIRST EVER Philosophers Stone (ahhh he is an HP virgin) and yeah. It was all v exciting, esp cos I sat in the chair where SHE WROTE THE BOOK. OMG OMG OMG.
*ROLL OF EYES* This is turning into some sort of Harry Potter entry. She kind of MADE me buy HP with puppy dog eyes, and she seemd so pleased when I said OK, so.. i had to go through with it. Lara's gonna draw in the book though and write some messages, so that's kewl.
Ahhh we played monopoly that night with Sam, Judith (who's pretty funny!) and Emily and ARGH I lost spectacularly because of unfair play and got a bit annoyed (because i am veee competitive)
ok well basically pat is bored of this and he wants to look at my lecture notes (urghhhhh) and so we will finish this later maybe and now we are going to bed! BECAU8E we are vvvvv tired and yeah he is going home tomorrow (hooray!) and yeah so goodnight everyone lalalalallala.... lots of love lara and pat.

Yesterday was a really nice day up in Edinburgh (for once!) Well, it did rain a little bit, but most of the time was very blue-skied and sunny. I'm not sure if that lasted or not after I left, probably did though. We hung out for a bit, Lara said goodbye to Judith and her mum, I packed the few things I had to pack, watched an ep of Futurama, aand.. we went to Chocolate Soup! (Oh, and I bought a pie and donut for the train journey before that). Choc Soup's a funny place, hehe. We had these hot chocolate sundae things which were very...chocolatey!! *gasp* We talked about things and stuffs etc, then walked to the station. When the train came Lara and I had to quickly hug goodbye because there were only a few seconds for me to actually get on the train, and the doors were beeping! And then yeeah.. the long-ish journey home.
I was looking out the window as we went past, at all the fields and meadows which were all shades of green and yellow, and the blue sky above, whilst listening to the Spirited Away soundtrack and reading.. Harry Potter (!), and thought to myself "Omg what am I turning into!!" Hahaha.. ^_^ But then I felt all "OHH.." (or ..aww.. whatever, disappointing sound!) as I realized that I really missed Lara. I enjoyed staying with her a lot actually. We got on really well I felt, and I was never uncomfortable, not even for a moment, and same with her flatmates who I got on surprisingly well with from the start! (I impressed myself there, haha..). Even when she and I didn't quite see eye to eye, or got annoyed (which was so minimal it's not really worth mentioning!) we cleared those things up so easily and with much kewlness.
And well, yeah, I felt sad to be leaving. Leaving Lara more specifically, I guess. I mean she's the one I went to see in the first place! But at the same time it was the only and best time to be leaving because she has lots of packing and goodbyes of her own to say before her parents get up there, she may have gotten sick of me if I was there any longer, and finally I need to rest for a couple of days/practice my signature (haha) before the LondonExpo on Sat morning. Oh, and actually I need to go into uni tomorrow to see a tutor about what i missed on Tuesday's meeting.. UGH.
Aaanyway, gushyness aside, the journey home, watching the ladscapes going by, isnpired me and I was having lots of ideas for the big story I want to write! I think I told Lara about it in one of the galleries we went to.. like I want to make my own strange world which looks kind of like 17th/18th C England/Europe, where people wear those old uniforms and use flintlock pistols and sabers, but also.. there's like new things like strange technology fused with everything and err.. yeah, ramble. Anyway, I did a metro sudoku ALL BY MYSELF on the train, and I was really proud! Aaand, Last night I did one of sudoku's in the Times! There were 3 but the easiest was a HARD one, difficulty said "difficult!".... but I did it!!! Mwahaha.. the next two are "fiendish" and "deadly" (That one doesn't even have any numbers in it..what the heck?!) But I'll do them both today, and then some more. Basically, Lara, watch your butt. In fact you better be holding it right now, because my foot is going to be so there at any moment, with a 'Kick!" sound effect.
Okay I'm gonna try and remember what we did, because for some reason my brain is not allowing me my memories easily.. OH, an the day we went to buy Harry Potter, we went into Forbidden Planet just to check things out, and guess who's comic booky-thing we saw.... Paul (whatshisname) from Wimbledon, the tutor! His Ratman book, which wasn't actually called Ratman but "Smelling a Rat"? or something, but yeah.. Lara picked it up, and it was dedicated to Nikki and Jo! Wooww, what a surprise.
We also went to some galleries, the.. Portrait and Scottish National? Ahh what were they calleeedd!! I'm fogetting names of everything. We sat in this little park thing as well and watched some guys play with a frisby whilst Lara kept ordereing the pigeons to keep away from her.
Oh man, I'm gonna have to tell stuff in no particular order because that's how my head is working at this moment! I think on the same night we may have watched Howl's Moving castle in bed, which was a strange but very nice looking film! Ahhh I was told I look like HOWL like 3 times, and now all I think of when I see HMC is.. me!! Hahaha.. because I'm vain like Howl. Candice (La's American flatmate) gave me the book, which was nice! I'll be reading that too!
At one point we had a very strange encounter. We were going out to return the videos we got from Blockbuster and bumped into Lara's friend Kal, who seemed like a nice guy.. but immediately, at the same time some weird Scottish ned (!) walked right up to us, and was like "Hello, where are you from?" acting a bit.. drunk. And I thought she was kal's friend or a student or whatever, so I was replying all polite like, saying "Hello!" and smiling etc. But err.. yeah, apparantly not because Lara and Kal totally ignored here and she was like "Do you not speak English, are you deaf?" And I was so confused..... She was rambling about how she's been here for 10 years and she hates the Welsh (Because kal said he's from Wales) etc etc and err, yeah basically being a weird bitch! Oh and Lara said something like "Ok well you should just go home now!" Hee hee, and then we basically walked off with the little girl shouting some sort of abuse. Weeiiiirrdd.. It lasted about a minute, quite quick.
Another night was a "Flat night", and we all went out to dinner at a mexican place called Sombrero's. I hate a BURRITO, mmm.. love burritos except these ones had everything on the outside of the wrap for some strange reason. No Taco Bell! Haha.. oh and then after we played poker in the kitchen with spagetti.. squigglies and flats. Was fun and I almost won (i think?), but Lucy beat me in the deciding round, gaining many many flats. Talked to Judith about HE-MAN which was keeewl indeed, and the girls looked through magazines pointing out which man was hot and which was not (SIGH). lol
Erm.. what else. Lara and I walked up Arthur's Seat which was fun! Extremely windy, but yeah very cool, I got some really good photos there. My camera case got blown away.. like far far away, but luckily I found it again. The weather was great for that, stopped raining and there were blue skies, yaayy. Then we also met up with Judith and her mum (very nice lady, I can see they are both so similar!) to look at a small exhibition of fairy tale/legend type stories. AGain, i forget the name, but it was kewl, and Judith's mum seemed keen to know what I did with animation and what I wanted to do.. and she had me sign a book of hers which was funny/cool/embarassing!! But in a good way, it was very nice and made me feel happy ^_^
On the last night Lara and I went out to see the DaVinci Code which we both thought was a pretty good film! I wasn't expecting much because of all the bad reviews I've read/heard.. but no, I liked it! Glad we went. I found it amusing how Lara took her shoes off and curled up in the seat during the film.. cute! hehe
