A couple of days ago, my computer died. Well, to say that it died would be a kindness, one which computer woes do not deserve. More accurately, it killed itself.  It may not have meant to; it certainly didn't put on eyeliner and slit its wrists,crying, in the bathroom while the stereo played some sappy, emo filth. And it didn't drive a car,

This is probably the most literary description of a crashed hard drive I have ever read.

I figured I needed to write something.

That was beautiful and tragic.

The smallest of my three hard drives died last month. Unfortunately, it contained the operating system and all of my music/photos dating back about seven years.

I managed to avoid that terrible fate by saving it all to my external in the final days of Ahtlatl's life, but I can't use it with this laptop because SEXternal's usb out doesn't work, and El Nene Feo doesn't have firewire ports.
