RP: With Le Chiffre

Villiers has been up a few times, mostly to get food for himself and other necessary things of life. But for the most part, he's been here on the bed, half-dozing as he frets and stays quiet. They had assured him that Le Chiffre would be fine after a good night's rest, but the entire event is one that has shaken him rather badly ( Read more... )

Peaceful might be a bit of an over statement.

The rest has done him some good, and the haunting that followed into his dreams has subsided, but there's been times where he couldn't tell if he's been awake or asleep, or where the hell he even is. So it's with a start that he does finally wake up, a short intake of breath followed by a lazy opening of his good eye in an attempt to get his bearings.

It's better than a frantic and sobbing Le Chiffre, at least.

Villiers moves quickly, snapped out of his thoughts by the sudden movement, kissing the top of his head, hand coming to a stop on his shoulder.

"...feeling better now?" he asks, cautiously. It's a relief to see him not in obvious panic, but Le Chiffre can and will hide things. He just has to make sure.

There's a lengthy pause to which even the physical touch isn't being responded to, possibly he's considering the question, but more than likely his mind is elsewhere, thoughts on other things.

Probably best Villiers doesn't know where these thoughts might be going.

".. Mmmm," he agrees distantly, hardly bothering to reply as he shifts on the bed, rolling onto his side to get his back facing Villiers.

He'll take that as a yes. Or a well enough, at least. Because now that he can relax a tiny bit, Villiers has to face the...well, aftermath.

The very unfun part. In-between fretting over Le Chiffre, he's been able to think this through, at the very least.

He carefully withdraws his touch, settling his hands just next to Le Chiffre, close enough that if either moves, there's contact. He's even concerned, taking a deep breath.

Best to start simple. "I'm sorry" is quietly said.
