Villiers returns home

(Is it? Home, after all, is a special place. Milliways is his new home. Le Chiffre is his new love. Home indeed.)almost exactly twenty-four hours since he left. A performance, that's what he went to see. An orchestra. A rendition of Holst's Second Suite in G, as well as a few of his other pieces. The players were excellent, ( Read more... )

The past twenty-four hours, for Le Chiffre, have mostly consisted of sulking. He's allowed to feel sorry for himself when he's left alone with his dog, even if he managed like that for almost a year before Villiers showed up.

The day, actually, hasn't been entirely uneventful, even by Milliways standards, but it's ending with Le Chiffre sprawled across the couch and watching some rubbish foreign channel. Those bad Spanish soap operas are not only entertaining, but also aided in his ability to learn the language.

Spanish soap operas can wait though, because the second he hears someone at the door, he's shifting to peer over the back of the couch. And that's all Villiers is greeted with for the moment, a shifty set of eyes over the top of an expensive leather sofa.

Oh and; ".. Hi."

Just because he knows that Le Chiffre would sulk (even more) otherwise, Villiers immediately walks over to plant a pleasantly pleasant kiss to his lips in greeting.

"Hello."

Well, doesn't he look refreshed? Listening to music does that to people sometimes -- it's uplifting, fulfilling, and generally a good thing.

He comes around the couch to sit beside Le Chiffre. "So, how long was I gone?"

He's about to answer, when there is a clear point in his mind reminding him that it's far cooler to act nonchalant about the whole thing, so Le Chiffre soon gains the act of pretending he'd hardly noticed Villiers was gone. Of course, that's exactly how he's been like all day, obviously.

"Hm? Oh.." And a bored glance to his expensive watch adds to the fact that he clearly hasn't been counting the minutes or anything, "About a day."

See, it's no big deal.

"And how have you been?"

"See? Not that long."

There were, of course, some worries that he'd disappear for an unnecessarily long period of time. But after some soul searching and weighing the benefits and risks, he decided that Bar could be trusted. She could see how happy he was with Le Chiffre, after all!

"It's only been a few hours for me -- and quite a nice few hours, really. You should come listen to a performance sometime. They're quite wonderful."

As he talks, Villiers grabs one of Le Chiffre's hands, pushing fingers into his palm in a relaxingly massaging manner. Maybe it's just to fiddle with something, maybe it's a small apology for leaving. Le Chiffre can decide for himself.
