He's whistling all the way down the hall, as he opens the door, hangs the sword once again carefully on the rack, and heads for bed and Villiers.

That gleam in his eye, the extra bounce in his step, the hysterical joy in his voice. As subtle as it may be, Villiers can see it.
It also makes him feel slightly queasy, but that'll be pushed aside for the moment.
