Just call me Geeky McGeeksalot

Slightly old, but not yet posted, news... Earlier this week I finally squashed the bug in my Flash visual effect code that has been pwning my ass for almost a month. Turns out the fucker was hiding out in some math support class I had written - and not anywhere near the visual effect itself ( Read more... )

lol... not until January - but thank you for the thought! =)

I'd considered picking it up... but I've decided I think it would be better to wait until the next popular MMO game comes out. I have no doubt that I'd love the game - but since it has been out for so long, I think I would feel like a n00b surrounded by people who have been playing it forever.

Damnit! :( Well, the expansion is supposed to come out within the next couple of months so everyone will be n00b to some stuff!! You really should get it. You'd love it. Plus, if you come to our server I'll give you lots of gold and help you!

C'monnnnnnnnnnnnn!! You know you want to!

I'm not sure how WoW works - so this question may not apply - but have you considered starting any new characters? I'd be more likely to play if I had some other lowbees alongside.

And I would like to... it is tempting. I do know I've got an assload to do besides playing a game. And I should note that when I stopped playing City of Heroes because I'd accumulated over 600 hours of play, I had only been playing for around 3 months. It wasn't uncommon for me to spend (waste) half my day (or more) online... plus another hour or so diagramming upgrade paths, new powers, and new strategies. I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to fall off the MMO wagon! =)

Can you tell I'm going through my friends and commenting on all their old stuff?

The next big MMO is going to be Warhammer Online, it's going to come out next year, open beta isn't going to happen until very late this winter.

Anyway www.warhammeronline.com
and I will be there, promise, kk baba?

Currently I spend entirely too much time playing knight online www.knightonlineworld.com

There's going to be a new server coming up soon, so download the software and install it so you get the patches, but don't like, make an account until you see Logos come up. I'm moving from Diez where I have ze lvl 63 to Logos where I will be a complete noob once that server comes up.

I also am an uber-geek with my own 50 person vent server, so like, come chat sometime, eh?

warfare5.nrgservers.net

and the password is...everyone's favorite bite size candy that doesn't melt in your hand? Those two letters, plus the number of siblings I have at the end.

If I have a few hundred hours to kill, I may check out Warhammer online, then! Good MMOs seem more common than good RTSs and the nearly-extinct good adventure games... and Silent Hill 5 won't be out for at least another year. So any diversion is a good one.

I'm not familiar with Knight Online. I'll give it a look, too.
