"Hey, Rodney, buddy," John started. It was 7:10pm. He was calling because Rodney was 10 minutes late and he couldn't take it anymore. "I think it's about time you picked up the twins. I'm in my room. 527. You've been here before."

Friday Night, 8 PM

"Rodney, where are you? You were supposed to be here at 7pm. You know about Daylight Savings Time, right? The kids are anxious to see their mom!"

Saturday, 12 AM

John called again at 9pm, 10pm, and 11pm. The contents of these voicemails are not fit to print. At midnight, desperation had set in. "Rodney, I'm not mad. It's okay. You just need to come get them. I can bring them to you if you want! Please? Please?"

Saturday, 1 AM

At one o'clock, screaming had taken the place of sanity. "Do you hear your children crying?" He placed the phone next to the wailing droid babies. "We are partners in this!"

Saturday Evening

Despite the previous night's events, John was again calling Rodney. He had great hopes that Rodney would pick up the kids from Lana and he could stay and play darts at Caritas.

So the phone rang...

Rodney picked up the phone distractedly to get it to stop ringing. It was disrupting his concentration.

"Hello."

"Rodney!" John was so glad Rodney had answered. "Go get Steve and Bob. I'm too drunk."

That got Rodney's attention. "What do you mean 'go get them?' Did you lose them? Oh my god, you lost our children!" The panic was evident in his voice.
