I really think the whole racism thing is over the top. I mean, RE games have taken place in the US, in Europe, now one is taking place, for the most part, in Africa. What kinda "zombies" did people expect they'd be killing in Africa? Asian ones? White people? That's SOUTH Africa folks. You're shooting zombies, that's not racist, IT'S HELPFUL!
I'm not bothered by it at all (in fact you could easily say that it helps you to figure out who you have to shoot on a cursory once over haha) and most people who are claiming "RACIST" are the people who don't have a feel for the entire series - although I also think that for Jun Takeuchi to say "we are taking it back to humanity's roots in this game" is pretty presumptuous on the part of the game makers. I can see why they are saying it, but you could have left all that bullshit out and the game would still have been great. It doesn't add any significance to it at all.
The more I play the more I roll my eyes at the blatant RE4 mechanics. I realize that, yes this is a RE4 sequel and you will get that shit - but you would have thought they would add way more new content that allows you to take advantage of the co-op availability and such. I guess not.
