In 1988, I wrapped up a years worth of coins in December and it came to $50. In my young naive state, I couldn't think of any charity to give it to except the Salvation Army. I wrote them a $50 check and mailed it. They cashed it. I never received an acknowledgment.
In my early twenties, I naively gave them some pocket change when I was waiting outside at the front of a store for my parents to pick me up. The lady watched me put it in and didn't say anything to me. No thank you... not even a smile. EPIC FAIL!
The rainbow flag on these $3 dollar bills will be a great way for me to tested out that unopened free printer I got with my Apple laptop.
