But you don't get something for nothing. And I've seen too many lies about research that is "going to save the planet" and turns out to be total crap. I work in a related field, and see reports that aren't available to the general public, and so far no one has anything that is really useful.

What will make a difference is taking action right now. If you need a car buy a Smart Car or a Prius, and talk your friends out of buying SUVs. Use 40 watt bulbs instead of 60s, and where you can install long life florescent bulbs. Turn out the lights. Keep the AC at 80, not 70. Take action now.

And as to these guys - who knows, it might work. But don't count on it, plan to save the planet with what we have now, and if something better is developed we can use it.
