Must admit, I'm close to the fence too, but I think it's much more sensible keeping an open mind.
I saw a comment on facebook yesterday in which someone claimed the bible was the most historically accurate, unedited book ever. Now, I believe the bible has some good stories and can give people direction when they need it but I'm not sure how "accurate" it is when it was written a generation after JC died :P
Added to the fact that it was cherry picked from a multitude of scrolls (many didn't make the cut) written in Hebrew Aramaic, and Greek, translated into Latin for most of Europe, and then translated into English with the King James Bible. I am wondering how much of the original intent survived all of that!
Yea...what I don't understand is this persecution complex they seem to have. How can you be in a majority and be persecuted?? I think it is a telling sign of insecurity.
