I don't think I would recommend Cockfighter to anyone. Even a movie about cockfighting is... pretty fuckin' gruesome. I didn't know they attached spikes and shit to their legs. Guh. And in the last scene the main character rips the head off his dying/dead chicken to give it to his woman... in lieu of his heart. Beautiful, no?

I'd say he's worth loving. He may end up my next movie star obsession... though... there are still Lawrence Tierney movies I need to see before I can retire him from the obsession pedestal.
